QUT Open Day
Open Day is one of the most pivotal dates in a university calendar, as it is the primary time that prospective students can be converted into new intakes. One aspect of the Queensland University of Technology's (QUT) Open Day is the creation of digital signage that is shown on 200+ screens on campus during the event. These signs serve as both a backdrop to set the tone of the day, and as a source of information and promotion for the university faculties and services.
Creating the signage required significant content preparation and stakeholder management. In order to streamline this, I distributed basic PowerPoint templates to each of the faculties so that each area could customise their own messaging and imagery to their liking. I then centrally collated the slides into an InDesign template where I could polish the content and convert the designs to be cohesive with the new visual style of the campaign. The final suite of signage contained 34 artworks and was recognised as a key factor of the success of Open Day 2024.
